From the Principal
St Joseph's is a Catholic School in the Dominican tradition based in the beautiful North Otago town of Oamaru. We are very proud in Oamaru to be able to provide a seamless Catholic education from age 5 to 18 with an unbroken tradition dating back to 1884. St Joseph's caters for students in years 1 to 8 and most of our students move on to St Kevin's College which caters for children from years 9 to 13.
We have a diverse and colourful community at St Joseph's school drawing from both town and country and around 20 different multicultural backgrounds. We aim to provide a broad and meaningful holistic curriculum.
St Joseph's is the parish school for St Patrick's parish and we have strong connections with our parish, seen in our weekly school masses. Our teaching staff are active in our parish and our parish is active in supporting us.
